Cooper-Standard Automotive Appoints Brinkmann Vice President Sales and Engineering for Body & Chassis Systems Division in Europe

Uwe BrinkmannNovi, Mich., March 25, 2008 - Cooper-Standard Automotive has appointed Uwe Brinkmann to vice president of Sales and Engineering for the company's Body & Chassis Systems Division - Europe. Brinkmann will be located at Cooper-Standard's European headquarters in Mannheim, Germany, while leading all of the division's sales and engineering groups in Europe. In his new role, Brinkmann will report to Larry Johnson, vice president and managing director - Body & Chassis Systems Division - Europe.

Brinkmann joined Metzeler Automotive Profile Systems in 1990 as a quality engineer. Most recently he held the position of vice president, Sales and Development for Metzeler. From 1991 to 2005 he had various roles including project manager for convertible projects, team leader for development projects, key account manager for BMW and business unit director. Cooper-Standard Automotive acquired Metzeler Automotive Profile Systems in late 2007.

Brinkmann has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Osnabrück in Germany.
