Cooper-Standard Automotive Appoints Villaire Associate
General Counsel

Iwona N. VillaireNovi, Mich., September 5, 2007 - Cooper-Standard Automotive has appointed Iwona Niec Villaire associate general counsel. Villaire will focus on securities, corporate governance and compliance and commercial transactions. In addition, she will oversee the legal affairs of the Company's Fluid Systems Division. Villaire will report to Timothy W. Hefferon, vice president, general counsel & secretary for Cooper-Standard Automotive.

Most recently, Villaire was senior counsel at Federal-Mogul Corporation where her responsibilities included corporate governance, securities, international transactions, restructuring and bankruptcy, regulatory compliance and employment law. Prior to Federal Mogul, she was an associate at Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss.

Villaire attended Wayne State University where she earned her J.D., a B.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Educational Psychology.
